Out of the

depths

I find myself untangled by the reeds of my tests

does this mean that I am to be blessed with the light

of a new sunrise?

As I emerge to the surface and open my eyes

will I see the pale blue skies?

or clouds?

Aren't both the same anyhow

Aren't both the opening to our hearts

I must start to emerge from the depths of the waters

without a worry for what may be

because, although the depths have been my safe haven

my safe place

you'll still see its trace as I stand in the sun

a new dawn has begun.

Thank you for the prompt to share a poem in this way. 💖

loving this part especially: "without a worry for what may be"

Also really liking the brief catalog technique in the middle:

"Aren't both the same anyhow

Aren't both the opening to our hearts?"

thanks for sharing your poem, Emma! :)
